Team work

Today has been all about team work and everyone has done a fantastic job at helping, supporting and encouraging each other. We’ve all cycled over 10 miles and had a very challenging gorge walk – with smiles, determination and constant cheering each other on. Well done everyone.

First P5 Residential

We’re a school that enjoys and embraces outdoor learning and the last two days with Adventure Aberdeen have been amazing.  Our pupils have been challenged, taken out of their comfort zone and given new experiences.  Their attitude and enthusiasm  has been fantastic and a joy to be part of. Some of our pupils are not strong swimmers but it didn’t stop them jumping off cliffs into the sea!  Many had never experienced scrambling but they worked as a team and encouraged and cheered each other on. Most hadn’t slept in a tent and to be honest there wasn’t a lot of sleeping done! But they supported each other and woke up very early to make the most of the day!!

The second day was full of new challenges – cycle skills, rock climbing, low ropes and each pupil showed determination, resilience and gave it their best.

It was a pleasure and privilege to be part of this new venture with Adventure Aberdeen and our pupils and staff. Thank you all – together we shine!
